WhichLang identifies spoken languages entirely on your device.
- The microphone is only active while the app is in the foreground. It stops immediately when you leave the app.
- No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. The audio signal is analyzed in memory and discarded right away.
- Only the result of a detection (language, confidence, time) is stored – locally on your device, and only if history is enabled. You can delete it at any time.
- WhichLang does not use the internet and contains no ads, tracking, or analytics. No personal data ever reaches us or any third party.
Because the app collects, transmits, or processes no data that leaves your device, no data processing under the GDPR takes place on the provider's side.
